Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-10-20
This policy explains what AI Trace Free (operated by [operator]) collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you sign in with a third-party account, the name and profile details that provider shares. Managed by our authentication provider.
- Content you submit — text you paste, .docx files you upload, the terms and passages you mark to keep, and the rewritten output.
- Payment information — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep a Stripe customer reference, your purchase history and your credit balance.
- Usage and technical data — pages visited, features used, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, performance measurements and error reports.
2. How we use it
- To run the Service: rewrite your content, rebuild your documents, show your history.
- To process payments, keep your credit balance and prevent fraud and abuse (including rate limiting).
- To fix errors and improve performance and features, using aggregated usage data.
- To contact you about your account, purchases, or material changes to our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
3. Who we share it with
We use the following service providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
- AI model providers — the text being rewritten is sent to one or more of: Anthropic (USA), Google (USA), OpenAI (USA), DeepSeek (China) and Moonshot AI (China), under their API terms. A single document may be split into parts handled by different providers.
- Clerk (USA) — sign-in and account management.
- Supabase — database and file storage for your account, jobs and uploaded files.
- Vercel (USA) — hosting, plus privacy-friendly page analytics and performance measurement.
- Stripe (USA) — payments.
- Sentry (USA) — error reports, which can include technical details of the request that failed.
- PostHog — product analytics on how features are used.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the Service.
4. International transfers
Our providers operate in the United States, China and other countries, so your information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
- Uploaded original files are kept until you delete them or your account, so that you can export again later.
- Submitted text and rewritten output are kept in your history until you delete them or your account.
- Payment and credit records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting.
- Error reports and analytics are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email [contactEmail] from the address on your account. Deleting your account deletes your content and uploaded files. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
7. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. Our analytics are configured to avoid non-essential tracking cookies where possible.
8. Security
Connections are encrypted in transit. Uploaded files are stored privately and are only accessible through our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes and contact
We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. Questions: [contactEmail].
